Students for the Silent intercede for children outside Bakersfield's abortion chamber.
Welcome to Students for the Silent, a non-denominational pro-life Group
made BY students FOR students. Our goal is to teach other teens and young
adults about the adverse affects abortion has not only on the preborn baby,
but the mother as well. By helping our community pro-life sector grow and
flourish, we are able to reach out to those who are most in need. If we
don’t stand up and make a difference, who will?
From the Co-Presidents…
Hey guys! Well we are still in the process of updating the site, so bear
with us. Each month we will give you information about what happened at our
last meeting, what our next meeting will consist of, as well as ideas for
the future. At our previous meeting, we had the executive director of the
Bakersfield Pregnancy Center come and speak to the group about how to talk
to your friends about being pro-life. She did an excellent job and gave us
quite a few statistics that will definitely come in handy in debates and
standing up for the preborn.
Our next meeting is sure to be interesting! We hope to discuss pro-life
issues in the upcoming election. Even if you aren’t old enough to vote yet,
this will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the pro-life
movement in the voting booth! Bring your friends, Saturday October 14th,
2006 at 3:30 P.M. to the Youth Center at St. Philips the Apostle Church on
Stockdale Highway. Come enjoy snacks, meet new friends and learn more about
saving those who never get a chance to stand up for themselves.
Keep checking the site as we continue to update it with more information!
